Matter Generateur anyone?

Yesterday I fantasized about the generator of the matter.
Not alaser plotter for carving 3d objects, but of a device that willassemble any given object from its base, out of atoms. I was thinkingabout the device that can find its place under the roofs of all thepeople working on PCs all over the world.

Let’s imagine thatinside the box of your fav cereals, or not, stop - imagine that yourdealer says: “you know, here I got something techy, I’ve just found itin box of my fav cornflakes; I can give it to you in exchange for yourold gameboy”. After short hesitation you agree and along withpreviously ordered lump of hash you receive a device of a size of usbplug and connector to place between cpu and monitor.

How does itwork: 100Gb usb plug contains dedicated OS and templates of objects.Plug it in, boot the puter, choose the template. Put your monitor onback side of casing, so the screen forms horizontal surface where youpour some ingredients - PET bottle, contents of ashtray, handful ofsoil and an old newspaper.
You know what happens next. The garbagecaves in, creating thin layer of greasy dust evenly covering all thesurface of picture tube. After a while, gradually, teh generated objectwill emerge, for instance an aspirin phial, glass of water, or anartificial jaw. or another matter generator.

So I fantasize about it at work and what do I see in Wired News?
